Cool Guy Hat

 On our walk today, Joey decided he needed a new cool guy hat.

 

We checked a few out and this is what he landed on.

People keep telling us Joe and Chuckles look alike.

There is a resemblance, but I wouldn't all it strong.

Coopstravaganza 2013

Ok, so this posting is long overdue. Since our last one, we have had a 'reunion', flood, Canada Day, Stampede.... and one of us is back to work (the one who is now posting and previously was insulted for being at home and doing enough posts...hmmmm)

The only true Cooper kids (Evie and Gabe) came to visit. There are actually 7 kids that are spawn of Cooper, but only two get to have it as a last name. And one as a middle name (Joey C).

Of all the spawn, Joey seemed at first to be the only non-blonde. However, I am happy to report as his hair grows in it is actually dark blonde.

Nana Grace with Joey, Abbie and Charlie. We were all in Penticton/Naramata- which was very convenient when our Calgary house was evacuated.

Charlie and Gabe with Tom. Gabe has my hair- unlike my own kids.

Before the zoo was flooded, the Coopers and Kozaks merged briefly. As Ellie and Gabe are the same age, I was considering an arranged marriage to once again create a Coopzak family. Sorry- Sam Spedding.

Oh yes, and Nathan. But still no Sam.

Nathan and Joey again. They had a love/hate relationship. Nathan kept stealing Joey's pacifier, and Joey kept flapping his arms and hitting him in the face. Notice the look on Nate's face. NOT impressed.

Our place had a pool. Which meant happy times for Charlie.

And Joey celebrated his 7 month mark while we were there.

Happy Birthday Gordon!

This week was Gordon;s 4-0! Happy Birthday Dada! 

Birth week has had some unpredictable weather.

But might as well cool off with a smoothie anyway

Get the Soup Ready

Joey is chunking up nicely;17lbs 8oz at his 6 month check-up (5 llbs less than Charlie at the same age). We do like his chubby arms in sleeveless rompers. Very ticklish.

This is Charlie's Mother's Day Card from pre-school. One of his classmates said his young, pregnant mother was 52 so I feel ok being 4. Not quite sure what the 'Get the soup ready' reference is. He is giving his classmates false knowledge regarding my culinary interests.
