Bad Dad forgot to take picutres of his mommy's birthday party, and mothers day. Oops!
Two updates:
1)Charlie is clumsy. I don't know how we are going to fix this...he ran face first into an open door this morning. What's a parent to do? right now my only strategy is to carry kleenex around to mop up the tears. Poor Charlie.
2)Charlie can flump out of his crib. He was "napping" yesterday when Steph and I heard a big "FLUMP!"...we both looked at each other thinking "no way...not yet".
Yes way. He was crying and looking for his "Maw Maw". There goes the neighborhood.

ReplyDeleteI did call it on Sat. Gord & true to age, Charlie did escape from his crib. Way to go Charlie and so sorry Mommy & Daddy. Now, to catch him actually doing the deed, so he doesn't get hurt.
Gordon didn't even wait until I left his room, to climb out of the crib. So I saw him doing it, and realized that he was very smart and would not hurt himself. Putting his leg over one corner of the crib, hanging on to the headboard he lowered himself until his foot reached the mattress, brought the other leg over, hanging on to the railing of the crib, he gently lowered himself to the floor. There was no "FLUMP" of falling. Poor Charlie, he may need guidance so he doesn't hurt himself.
As to his clumsiness, can't help you there, other than he will outgrow that stage. He will become more cautious, I hope.
Too save all the bumps. I just took the mattress out and put it on the floor and then a bell on the bedroom door so I could hear when they were sneaking out of the bedrooms. Levi was good and stayed in his room, but Nik was the sneaky one...and even had to move bell up higher so he couldn't stop that. Bike helmets in the house was the other thing I did for a while, less concusions that way. have fun...laughing with you..heheheh
