From Boyle we headed to Jasper...a swift 530km drive....Charlie was in the mood for it for though. He travelled really well. The abundance of snacks and in flight entertainment (steph) sure helped.
Once we hit Jasper, we stopped for lunch...this is one of the least flattering pictures of our fat bebe yet.
We stayed in a little cabin above the Athabasca River...beautiful spot. We somehow forgot to take pics of the cabins. They were swell.
Mom and bebe lounging in the sun.
The next morning was chillier than we expected, so we had to bundle Charlie up with whatever we had...including towels.
Later that day we went offroading for a hike. Those are tears of joy seeping from Charlie's eyes. Joy.
As an aside, we take our Bumbleride stroller on way too many offroading adventures. At one point we were literally portaging it (with Charlie) across logs/streams etc. Then we remembered we had the fancy backpack in the car, so slapped our foreheads and then went about hiking the right way.
The ever glamorous Ms Steffy in front of some mountain lake.
We stopped for a small picnic and Charlie decided to try the local cuisine.
After a couple of rocks and some pine needles, there is nothing like a monster cookie to wash it all down.
Picking stuff of the ground to eat was almost as bad as allowing Charlie to lick Cherrios of the patio deck floor.[Poor parenting]
ReplyDeleteSomeone did pack a winter hat to protect Charlie's bald punkin' head from the cold.[Good parenting]
Poor photography on fat Charlie and that's all I'm going to say.
Great photos! Looks like you had a great rest of your trip. That photo of Charlie all bundled up in the stroller is super cute.
ReplyDeleteEating Cheerios off the desk in Boyle was just a warm up for what awaited him in Jasper!
