Well Charlie definitely outgrew his baby tub.
We can't always swim with him in the big tub.
So the next step is the kitchen sink...which was my thought since day 1, but what do I know.
Hey Ladies, welcome to my hotub.
If you look closely, you can see Charlie squirting water into his mouth from his rubber ducky (in western wear). The kid is gifted at eating. Obviously.
Another favorite game is "tug of war".
He holds things in his teeth and you try to take it away.
And let's not forget the "drink some lukewarm Charlie Soup with hint of urine" game
But his favorite game of all is "catch the water".
He's been doing this for months...loves to try and grab running water.
Likely so he can try and eat it.
He did this for 15 minutes the other night.
Sure it wastes water, but it gave me time to cook/eat dinner and clean up.
I think the "trying to catch water" thing means he's very spiritual - like hearing the sound of one hand clapping. (Actually, I think he's pretty good at one-handed clapping, too!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart turkey, squirting water into his mouth and holding the glass of bath water and drinking from it. He must be on a sippy cup, because he sure is ready to drink from a glass.
ReplyDeleteLove his "hot tub" and trying to catch the water. What fun. Wait until grass sprinkler time, other than the cold water, he's going to love trying to catch all that water.
Great pictures of Charlie! Keep them coming!!!
ReplyDeleteThe water in the mouth via the rubber ducky shows impressive coordination for such a young age. Go Charlie!
ReplyDeleteAs an FYI: Charlie is gifted at hands to mouth co-ordination. But extremely stunted in all other motor co-ordination. The little blob is STILL too lazy roll over on his own. He sits ok, but refuses to even attempt to move for anything outside of immediate reach. It's easier to whine for it.
